I've been writing microfiction here on Medium for about a year now. It wasn't until just the last couple of months that I noticed it being called "short form", but that's what it is. I've actually had more success with short form than longer pieces.

I have to admit that I haven't tried short form in a non-fiction setting yet, but that's my next experiement. Personally, I prefer writing and reading short form.
