Angel Face, I am so proud of you. This is one of the BEST freewrites I’ve read in a while. It’s raw, it’s emotional, and it’s real. What an outlet. Now that it’s out, I’m sure you feel better.

And you want to know a little secret? I’m a smoker too. I’ve quit more times than I care to talk about. I quit for 3 years, but then I divorced my ex-husband and started smoking again. Why? Because I needed to set something on fire and I wasn’t ready to go to jail. Stupid, I know. But it is what it is. Don’t beat yourself up for slipping.

I am so proud to call you friend. And I know what you’re talking about when you say “I love them, but…” You will always love them, but you don’t have to always like them.
